I have friends coming to visit today which is pretty exciting but it also means that my husband took off work for the next week so I won’t be making any lunches for a week which is fine, everyone deserves a break now and then.

This is a pretty unique recipe from the Alsatian region in France. It’s what you’d get if you combined stew, pasta, and a wrap all at once. While it does take a bit of time I found that you can freeze the rolls and then simply cook them right from the freezer which means this is a great ahead of time meal since the final steps after making the roll is fairly easy. In the future I would process the vegetables for a smoother consistency but I didn’t really mind the texture either, just made them a little harder to hold together.
I kind of made do this week because I’d forgotten a few things from my shopping list since we shopped on Sunday instead of Saturday but it turned out alright in the end. I’m trying to be consistent in quality but stubbornness and ice got in my way.
Getting through my list of movies still but this week also trying to not be too wild about making new recipes while I catch up with all the ones I haven’t posted yet.

Take french fries (or really, in this case roasted potatoes) to the next level by adding chili on top of it. This comes together surprisingly quickly and can be topped with anything from cheese to jalapenos and ranch if that’s what floats your boat.
I think I did a great job this week for the most part. Lots of fun and delicious new recipes which means next week will be more standard fare but you can’t be 110% all the time.
I’ve been crossing movies off my “to watch” list but unfortunately that means a lot of bad movie watching. The upside of that, of course, is eventually I’ll get to a place where I only have good movies left. Probably.

This is one of those “best of both worlds” type recipes. Combining all my favorite things about ratatouille and risotto until they meld into one extra delicious food is a feat. This is a bit busy as a recipe but the end result is well worth the effort and it certainly makes sure you’ll get your daily dose of vegetables in one sitting.
Not my most beautiful week of recipes but I did make two new things that both turned out to be delicious so be on the lookout for those recipes in the future.
