This soup is surprisingly good for how little effort is needed to make it. Also I served it with a cutting board full of topping options which makes the soup fun too.

Recipe: Coconut Lentils
These creamy coconut lentils are a total treat. They have a really nice color to them and you can easily change up what vegetables you use depending what you have on hand or what is in season to make a filling meal.

I’m sure there’s only about 1000 recipes for turkey burgers. In the end it’s basically a reverse meatloaf in some ways but I also thought these burgers came out perfectly and they took less time than I assumed. By adding some finely chopped vegetables to the recipe, I think it keeps them moist while also stretching the amount of burgers you get from a pound of meat.

Recipe: Chicken and Dumplings
Delicious and homey this dish is a little heavy for normal days but sometimes you just want to slip in to a food coma and that’s what this recipe is for.

Recipe: Homemade Spaghettios with Meatballs
This is a delicious change from soup and a nice throwback to a lot of peoples childhoods. I haven’t had Spaghettios in probably over a decade and I’ve never eaten the one with meatballs but I can almost assure you this one is way more delicious than the one in a can and honestly, very easy to make! You can sub in any type of meatballs or leave them out for a vegetarian version.

Adapted from The Budding TableRecipe: Daigaku Imo (Candied Sweet Potatoes)
An easy and lightly sweet side dish if you want to make sweet potatoes just a little more fun. You can see in the picture I really got the edges a bit too dark but actually they still tasted really good like that. Just be more observant and you should be fine.

Adapted from Otaku FoodRecipe: Goat Cheese, Pear, and Black Pepper Scones
I love the idea of making traditionally sweet foods into savory ones. When I saw this recipe I knew I would be making it. Despite sounding very fancy, goat cheese and pears are not exactly the most high ticket items so this is a pretty cheap recipe if you need to impress someone. On top of all of that, this is also a one bowl recipe so it’s pretty easy on the clean up as well.

Furikake is basically a dry rice seasoning in Japan and it’s not available everywhere but if you can get a few basic ingredients you can make your own in about 5 minutes. This is really sped up with a food processor.

Adapted from Otaku FoodRecipe: Salt Cured Pickles
You can’t come up with an easier recipe. These pickles take as long as it takes to cut up a cucumber to make and then time does the rest of the work. Despite being only a few ingredients, the pickle packs a punch. While I think I like vinegar cured pickles more, these do in a pinch.
