I think it only took me an extra two years to make sweet scones but these are the best, they taste super fresh and almost like a cream dessert. They’re even more simple than savory scones but be aware this recipe makes enough for sharing.

Recipe: Earl Grey Truffles
I’d never made truffles before but it turns out that they’re basically just balls of ganache that has been half-set and rolled up and they took all of a few minutes to make (plus setting time). You can basically make them any flavor by adding ingredients to the cream too.

Recipe: Victoria Sponge Cake
This Victoria Sponge Cake recipe is so easy to make gives absolutely delicious results. It’s butter and not too dry and delicious with a healthy heap of cream.

Recipe: Lemon Snack Cake
This cake was super soft with a delicious layer of lemon curd and a topping of not too sweet frosting. You can make lemon curd from scratch if you’re up to that task but I just buy mine in a jar (no judgement).

When people want a quick dessert they reach for cookies but these doughnut holes can be made in just about 20 minutes and they’re sure to impress because who makes doughnuts these days?

Stovetop pudding comes together easily in a couple of minutes and can be made to look extremely fancy for an easy dinner party treat. Top with whipped cream, pieces of fruit, or shaved chocolate for maximum effect or simply eat it right out of the bowl. Also you can sieve all the ingredients to make sure it doesn’t have any lumps at all or you can be like me and take your lumps where they happen.

Recipe: Carrot Cake
I thought for a while that I didn’t like carrot cake but after some careful considerate I think I just don’t like the overly sweet commercially made carrot cakes. For this one I doubled the amount of spices to give it an extra kick too.

Who doesn’t love funfetti!? Basically a funfetti cake is just white cake in which you dumped a bunched of sprinkles (aka colorful sugar) in to. It really only make the cake better! This is one I did for Gravity Falls party hence the colorful buttercream and fondant designed but you can do whatever you like on top.

Despite it being January if you still have some strawberries frozen from the summer this is a beautiful and deliciously tempting dish. I used frozen strawberries to make the filling but I didn’t thicken it up enough and when I went to roll I lost some of it out the side so make sure that your filling is very very firm and cool before you go to roll.

Adapted from Sally's Baking AddictionRecipe: Chocolate Cake with Cardamom Buttercream
This is probably the best chocolate cake I have ever made. I made these in to mini cake and the batter is so thin I didn’t think it would even bake but when it does it’s the perfect springy, moist chocolate cake with just the right amount of chocolate as to not be overwhelming. The buttercream is a delicious slightly sweet compliment to the velvety adultness of dark chocolate.
